FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1. Do I need to be a member? No you do not, our banquet facilities are open to the public 2. Can I bring either my own food, or food prepared by an outside caterer? All catering for receptions at Pine Ridge is prepared by our own kitchen, unless previously authorized by either the Food and Beverage Manager or the Catering Manager 3. Does the Club provide decorations for the room? The Club provides all of the necessary table linens and skirting. Skirting and tablecloths are white, with your choice of one of thirty napkin colours. For a small fee, we can decorate your head table, cake table, guest sign-in table, and dance floor with tulle, mini lights and ivy. All other decorations such as table centers, lighting and candles are the responsibility of the function 4, What is the size and capacity of the room? The banquet facility is approximately 3100 square feet and has a 400 square foot dance floor situated in the middle of the room. For events requiring a dance floor, the room can comfortably accommodate 210 guests, without a dance floor, the capacity of the room is 260. 5. Does the Club provide the music services? Pine Ridge Golf Club has teamed up with Platinum Sound and Light, one of Winnipeg's premiere music service providers. Platinum Sound has a quality in-house system complete with lights. 6. Can I have my wedding ceremony at the Club? Yes you may. At a nominal cost to cover the setup and tear down, you can choose to have your ceremony among the trees in our beautiful outdoor ceremony site. 7. How do I pay for my reception at Pine Ridge? A $750.00 deposit is required to secure the room for your given date. The balance of your function is due 24 hours in advance of your reception, and payment can be made by cash or certified cheque only. 8. Is there a power source at the ceremony site? Yes. We have a plus in on the outside of the icehouse. 9. How many guests can the ceremony site accommodate? 130 seated, with standing room at the back. 10. What happens if there is inclement weather? Pine Ridge's alternative plan is to move the ceremony to the Banquet Hall. We have a back drop that will be placed at the far end of the dance floor. All tables will be placed behind the backdrop in an effort to keep guests from viewing any decorating. (We cannot guarantee that all tables will fit behind backdrop). 11. Does Pine Ridge provide any sound equipment for the ceremony site? Not at this time. 12. How will our guests know where the ceremony site is? Pine Ridge will provide lawn signs with arrows to direct the guests where to go. We will also rope off the 18th green, as we realize most guests are not avid golfers. 13. How many guests are seated at each table? Our tables accommodate up to eight people. 14. Is there extra parking? Pine Ridge has two overflow parking areas. Both are located to the left and straight ahead when entering in the main gates. 15. Can we take photos on the course? Yes. Only the bride and groom will have access to course photos and must be accompanied by a Pine Ridge staff member. We strongly suggest that you do the bulk of your photos elsewhere. 16. Are we able to taste our food options prior to our event? Yes. Pine Ridge will hold a buffet style tasting for all of our weddings. All couples are invited on the same evening and will have a chance to try a bit of everything that Pine Ridge has to offer. This tasting will be held in late September / early October. 17. When can we decorate for our function? Depending on the schedule, you may be able to come in the day before your event to decorate. 18. Do we have to clear out all items on the night of the wedding? No. Anything that is left behind can be picked up the next day at a set time with the Banquet Manager. 19. Does Pine Ridge accommodate allergies or special dietary needs? Yes. 20. Will Pine Ridge staff put out our centerpieces or favours? No. Yourself, bridal party or appointed decorator must put those out. 21. Does Pine Ridge provide any decor? Yes.
